Pre-Paid Primary Care
Many people are discouraged from seeking traditional doctors because they don.t have health insurance. Instead, they seek alternative solutions and become influenced by pharmacy advertisements, the internet, family, and friends.
Yet, having a genuine and trusted traditional doctor, ideally a general internist is a valuable resource for one's health. Modern medicine is continually evolving with newer and greater solutions to our health and wellness. It is a mistake to turn ones back on traditional medicine because of the perception that it is unaffordable.
The truth is that even without health insurance, optimal health care with a traditional doctor is entirely realistic. The solution for primary care medicine involves removing the financial middleman between the doctor and patient. Instead of paying a monthly insurance premium, a monthly fee along with a 12 month retainer is made directly to the doctor.
Specifically, for $95 per month or $140 per couple per month, I will provide unlimited primary care and immediate same day appointments if necessary. Our office provides a complete laboratory panel including blood counts, lipid profiles, metabolic panels, thyroid test, PSA screening, and many more. Furthermore, we offer chest x-rays, EKGs, spirometry, and bone density analysis. These are all available under this pre-paid primary care plan.
To be clear, this arrangement provides services that can be reasonably administered in our office. It is not a complete answer, since it does not cover hospitalizations, medications, specialist care, or more sophisticated testing like CAT scans or MRIs.
Yet, for most people who have not seen a traditional doctor for quite some time, this plan would provide a major step toward wellness. Furthermore, if combined with a high deductible insurance policy, one could have the peace of mind if major medical expenses were ever needed.
